Foodie Hall of Fame: Part 1

Sweet Tweets!

Chicago chef, Grant Achatz, is known for many things:
1) Executive chef at Alinea
2) Tongue-Cancer survivor
3) And, after undergoing experimental tongue surgery to combat his cancer, Achatz re-trained his taste buds -- which, is an unthinkable task for an already established chef. A chef losing his sense of taste is like a race car driver losing his sight.

Since Achatz stuck it out and continued with his passion: food. We're going to honor him as our Foodie Hero of the Week! (excuse the pun...)

Now, this epicurean Renaissance Man is also dabbling with the written word. With regular contributions to the popular D.C. magazine, The Atlantic and hilariously insightful Tweets (see below), Achatz is showing some serious chops -- outside the kitchen.
